MARGARET J. MEIER
Efficient and practical, Margie’s practice is an intentional hybrid, as it blends who she is with what she knows—merging her Mid-Western Iowa roots with her business litigation prowess. Meier regularly appears in state and federal courts representing clients in business, employment, products or professional liability matters, including those involving the environmental and agricultural economy of the United States. Margie is licensed in Minnesota and Iowa state and federal courts and Texas state court and recently served as a Special Assistant Attorney General for the state of North Dakota.
Margie obtained a degree in journalism and entrepreneurial business with distinction from Iowa State University, and then her law degree magna cum laude from Drake University Law School where she served as an editor of the Drake Agricultural Law Journal.
Margie recently relocated south after practicing for many years in St. Paul, Minnesota, where she was an active leader in bar and business organizations, including serving as chair of the New Lawyers sections of both the Minnesota State Bar Association and the Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association. She has been honored by The Minnesota Lawyer as a Rising Star and an Up and Coming Attorney, and by the Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association as the Outstanding Young Lawyer of the Year. Margie currently serves as the Membership Committee Co-Chair for the National Association of Women Lawyers.
